Before you leave for your fun filled vacation you should make sure that your home is ready for its' new guests.

Some things you may want to do:

• Wash dishes and cooking utensils and put them away.
• Wash the towels and bedding.
• Make the beds with fresh linen.
• Place linen, towels, etc that you want your guests to use where they will find them.
• Take out the trash.
• Sweep, vacuum and mop if needed.
• Put away anything that you do not want your guests to use.

If you want to go the extra mile you can leave a few fresh snacks and bottled water for your exchange partners. Hey a nice bottle of wine if you would like is always welcome. Not an expensive bottle of wine, remember it is the thought that counts.

If you have a friend or neighbor meeting your guests when they arrive you should make sure to go over any last minute items with them that you would like to pass on to your arriving guests. Make sure to leave a note for your exchange partners to let them know that you have prepared a fresh bed for them and tell them about other items around the house.
